My husband and I met while I was living in Chicago. Living there was great, and we had a few local places we loved to go and grab a bite to eat and a drink. Since moving to Las Vegas we both agree that we miss that part of city living a lot!
A couple years back Mark Rick’s N.Y. Pizza & Pasta came to our neighborhood. We tried delivery from there looking for a good pizza (another Chicago favorite we were missing.) It was really great pizza, New York style of course. However, until the other night we have never dined there. After several days of being a sick household, we were out of groceries and everyone seemed ready to enjoy a night out. We had heard Mark Rick’s was very family friendly so we hopped on Restaurant.com, picked up a dining certificate (*), and headed out.
Immediately upon walking in to the seat yourself style restaurant I knew we may have just found that great local family atmosphere that we had enjoyed in Chicago. The hand tossed New York Thin Curst Pizza is obviously a favorite, but they have so much more to try! From pasta, salads, and sandwiches, to Calzones, and Stromboli, there really is something for everyone! Next time I will be sure to try some of their “famous” garlic knots! They even have gluten free pizza and pasta options and a great classic dessert menu! Wine and beer is also served.
My son as usual was adamant on having Mac & Cheese and was thrilled to see it arrive in a cute dinosaur bowl. I tried the Greek Salad with pita (of which my son ate about half), and a slice of Sicilian cheese pizza, while my hubs chowed on a homemade Stromboli. Everything was delicious and super filling. We took home about half of what we ordered and enjoyed the left overs the next day for lunch!
At the end of the night, we went to go pay with our Restaurant.com dining certificate and found out that Wednesday nights are “Kids Eat Free” nights. Since they don’t combine the offers, we decided to save our certificate for another night! I know for sure we will be back if not because of the food, then because of the great and friendly service!!
Starting next month, Wednesday nights at Mark Rick’s will not only be “Kids Eat Free”, but they will have a game truck out front for the kids, and a local comic book shop owner will be handing out free comic books to all kids who dine in!
They have both indoor and outdoor seating, take out, or delivery, and even offer catering. Mark Rick’s is open Sunday thru Thursday 11am – 9pm and Friday/Saturday 11am-10pm.
What do you eat on your pizza?
Disclosure: I am a restaurant.com ambassador and as part of the program was provided with a few $25 e-certs to dine locally. All thoughts and opinions are 100% honest and my own!
(*) Restaurant.com offers two dining e-cert options for Mark Rick’s. $5 off of $10 or $10 off of $20! Perfect for lunch or dinner! Please note this is for dine in only, and can not be combined with the “Kids Eat Free” nights.

Yum! I love Italian food and that looks delicious!
I love pepperoni and mushrooms!
I was just in your town yesterday!! That’s awesome you can get a taste of home in Vegas.
I normally order just pepperoni on mine or pepperoni and pineapple.
Gotta love a night when kids eat free. We are going to have to give this place a try!
Looks very delicious!
Can’t wait until Blogher and I’ll get a chance to check this out.
Everything looks good! I’ve never been to Chicago or Las Vegas.
Oh that all looks so good! You’re making me hungry!
I know they have a couple locations in town I’ve only been to the one way out on West Charleston. I was excited to try this place but after having the pizza I was not impressed. There was a time in Vegas when it was really hard to find good pizza but now there are so many places offering good pizza that I think you can do better than Mark Rich’s. Granted they may not have the family atmosphere so that’s definitely a point. For example, Pizzeria at the Cosmo, Those Guys Pies, Dom DeMarcos, Upper Crust and more
Sounds great! You can never go wrong with pizza or pasta. 😉
I try to use those any time we plan on going out to eat! That Pizza looks awesome!
We’ve been meaning to try that place! They look good. I love the dinosaur bowl!

Yum. I’m usually just a pepperoni kind of gal but if I’m feeling adventurous I’ll add black olives and mushrooms 😉
