Snoozeshade the MUST HAVE stroller accessory!

July 16, 2013 By Emily 25 Comments

I consider myself a unique breed of mom.  There are babywearing moms, or they are stroller mamas.  I am both. (Okay, maybe not unique, I know there are plenty of moms out there like that!)

I use both for different reasons, and really love my Britax stroller.  With an active 4 year old and a new baby, it was important to me to find something that would work for both of them if we needed it.  Especially in places like Disneyland or day trips out and about, naps can’t be tossed aside or we will feel the sleepy child wrath!  Enter Snoozeshade!

The multiple award winning snoozeshade was designed by an active mom on the go who wanted to designs an all inclusive cover for baby’s stroller and car seat carrier.  This cover not only helps protect from the Sun’s UV rays, prying hands (or in my case big brother who wants to wake baby up), but it creates a dark environment free of distractions for baby to have their naps while out and about! I was given a snoozeshade deluxe for both my stroller and my infant car seat carrier.

Check out my video review!

There are 4 main ways or modes to use Snoozeshade Deluxe:

  1. The Snooze Mode: Complete with a a super cute sign on the front that says “I’m catching some Z’s”.
  2. Lookout Mode
  3. Open Mode
  4. Peekaboo Mode

In Snooze Mode the cover blocks 97.5% of the UV rays and in lookout mode 80% of the UV rays – talk about added comfort level for this mama!

The Snoozeshade attaches to the stroller or car seat with super easy to use snaps and a convenient storage pouch when the fabric is rolled down. When you aren’t using the snoozeshades you can store them in the pouches they come with. If you look closely in the picture below you can see Baby D’s hand. I love that he can see out while in lookout mode!

Another really cool thing about the Snoozeshade for the stroller is that there isn’t a stroller that it doesn’t fit.  I can easily use it on my Britax B Ready and my Maclaren umbrella stroller. (Be sure to watch my video review to see how it works on both strollers.) Since I also have the Car Seat cover I can even use that on my jump seat when my stroller is in doubles mode! I simply attached the snaps to an unused set of snaps on the cover in front since there were no bars close enough to hook it on!

I can even recline my stroller seats with the snoozeshade on both of them!

I don’t know how we made it through so many Vegas summers without the Snoozeshade, but I am thrilled to have it now.  I can’t recommend this product enough.  It really is a must have stroller accessory for any parent on the go!

UPDATE 5/27/2015. I used my snoozeshade all the time. Most recently on my BOB Jogger and then on the Mountain Buggy while training for a half marathon. It was perfect for runs – keeping baby shaded, but also for keeping bugs out!

Buy It!

The Snoozeshade comes in a few different models.  The deluxe retails for $59.99 for the stroller cover, and $39.99 for the car seat cover.

Oh, I like this! Baby Brother is such a light sleeper and such a nosy little guy that he’ll never stay asleep in the stroller. If there is something to be seen, he’s just got to see it. This would cut out the visual distractions. I love that it is fairly universal as far as fit goes.

I think that always is the case! There are so many cooler things than even 4 years ago when I had my son!

That’s awesome that it’s a mostly universal shade! I also love that they have one for the infant carriers as well. We have the same stroller, so I’m sure we’ll be adding a sunshade to our collection at some point.

I am a babywearing mom AND stroller mom too! My son loves the stroller and I love using the ergo to grocery shop in and get things done around the house. My son loves to nap in the stroller but often gets distracted by the world. This would be great for him! Thanks for the review!

This looks great, not just for sun but for rain! Although for sun shade I like using an Aden & Anais muslin blanket.
