lil helper.ca Organic Bamboo AI2 Cloth Diaper Review {Giveaway}

November 10, 2013 By Emily 30 Comments

I have been cloth diapering now for 37 months between both of my boys.  I can say without a doubt my absolute favorite material for inserts in bamboo.  It is 4 times more absorbent than cotton and they are naturally anti-bacterial/anti-microbial to keep baby’s bum clean and reduce irritation because it is so breathable.

My love of bamboo had me really excited to review the lil helper.ca Organic Bamboo All-In-Two cloth diaper.

Baby D looks adorable in the lil helper.ca organic bamboo cloth diaper.  I have never had a leak with it, and it drys very quickly.  I have really come to love the AI2 style of cloth diapers.  They are so easy to use, and usually allow me full customization for my heavy wetter.  The diaper is a bit thick when using both inserts, but it is still very lightweight.  They were able to accomplish this by having the bamboo as the outside layers and a microterry on the inside.

Speaking of inserts, I love the option of buying the charcoal bamboo inserts ($11.95) which is a great option for trips out of the home when you may be changing less frequently and has worked overnight for us.  It’s nice to be able to just buy a different insert as opposed to a completely different diaper for night time use.

The lil helper.ca organic bamboo cloth diaper retails at $21.95 and comes in 7 colors and 5 prints!

    Depending on the day, I usually go either prefold/cover or AI2. When I first started cloth diapering I expected to prefer the pockets, but those are what I reach for the least! Go AI2!

    Mauve would be a cute color! I tried cloth diapering and would love to give different systems a go to see what suits our routine!

    I like the pinkish striped color the best, but I’m not sure whether it’s actually available. If not, I like either the red or the tealish green or the blue.

    So excited to read this review on the day of the contest! Just found out about this company this evening – and am loving that these diapers are designed by aerospace engineers. Just about to begin cloth diapering my little one who is almost 15 weeks and 15 lbs. Think he’d look adorable in the diaper w the yellow/green stripes and the mint is also great too!
