If you consider your blog to be your business than you know the value of a well designed media kit. I love writing on my blog and for other publications, but I am not a designer. As it is the beginning of a new year I realized it was the perfect time to redo my media kit, and I turned to Becca Ludlum to help.
Becca used to spend her days as a middle school speech therapist, but she left her job a year ago to concentrate on her dream job – freelance writing and working with bloggers. These days she spends her time helping new bloggers navigate their new online world and fall in love with their blogs through their first customized designs. In addition to blog design she also helps bloggers by creating custom media kids to give to brands and help cultivate relationships.
I know how important a nice polished media kit can be. If it’s clear, direct, and has all the information you need in one spot it can really help you stand out from the online masses. Which is why I reached out to her before I attended my last convention. I wanted something that would help assist me in putting my name out there as someone brand would want to work with.
I answered a few questions, and a few days later I had the first draft of my media kit. Becca worked with me to give me exactly what I was hoping for and after a few changes it was perfect. She was very prompt with her work and super easy to communicate with.
I loved the way it turned out and I know that if I need edits or to tailor it at any time I can simply email Becca and she will be quick to help. You can find other examples of media kits and designs on her website.
I highly recommend using BeccaLudlum.com for your blog design and digital media needs. Be on the look out, Becca recently finished writing her first book “Everything But The Posts: Tips, Advice and Tutorials from a blogger who has been in your shoes” which will be releasing here very shortly!
Disclosure: I received services in exchange for an honest review. If I didn’t love how it turned out I was not obligated to share it, but I do, and couldn’t be happier with the final product. I will continue to hire Becca for future needs.
