Local Las Vegas Dining with Restaurant.com | Grape Street Cafe Wine Bar & Cellar

November 30, 2012 By Emily 17 Comments

I have mentioned before, I could make a list of all the places I’d like to try eating out at, and I am pretty confident I’d still have a pretty long list even if we lived in Las Vegas another six years!  Las Vegas is filled with many different types of restaurants and dining options. No longer is eating in Las Vegas just about the casino buffets, but rather many locals will tell you there are awesome eateries on every corner.

Located in just off highway 95 and Lake Mead Blvd. Grape Street Cafe Wine Bar & Cellar is a restaurant I could go again and again and never eat the same dish twice!  They are currently celebrating 15 years of service and dining in Las Vegas so I know I’m not the only one who feels this way!

They may be most known for their impressive wine selection (with over 80 varieties available by the glass), and have been voted to be one of the Top 10 Wine Bars in Las Vegas, their California inspired menu can hold it’s own!  Plus they have great deals ranging from 50% off bottles, 1/2 price appetizers, and daily lunch specials.

I had the opportunity to dine at a discount thanks to Restaurant.com and my $25 e-cert.  What I love about these certificates is I don’t feel bad falling in lust with a pricier meal option because I know I am getting a great deal.

This past week I stopped into Grape Street with a friend and poured over their menu!  Burgers, Salads, Pasta, and so much more to choose from, it took me nearly 15 minutes just to pick something to eat.  My son was a little less picky, asking for Mac & Cheese the moment he walked through the front door.  While it wasn’t on their menu, they kindly indulged my little man, and given by how much of that bowl he massacred I would say it was a hit.

I ended up giving into a pregnancy craving, pizza!  Mushroom and Pepperoni to be exact.  It was crusty, flavorful, and cheesy.  Given my current pregnancy gestational diabetes I was only able to indulge in a few small slices, but I brought the rest home to my husband who quickly devoured it, and even asked me later if I would want to go back to Grape Street sometime with him.  (Let me tell you – that is a win of it’s own!)  I did also add a small starter salad to my entrée which was pretty basic.  I would mention it came with bleu cheese which I wasn’t expecting.

My friend went with the Bowtie Olivia – a pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, olives, & onions, tossed with goat cheese, olive oil, and garlic, I have to admit I was pretty much wishing I could have indulged in the pasta as well!

Most of the menu was priced moderately between $12-$15 per entrée.  Larger dinner entrees we mainly $22+.

Overall all three of us we happy with our meals, and my husband was happy with his take home pizza.  (aka my leftovers!)  I would certainly go back to Grape Street with friends, family, or even for a relaxing date night.  For sure the next time I go I will be indulging in one of their 80 wines by the glass!

Not a huge fan of mushrooms, but otherwise the pizza looks fantastic. I have to say the bowtie pasta sounds amazing.
