When you are making a choice to go on a diet, there is sure no shortage of options out there.  When it comes to choosing one that delivers the food right to your door, Nutrisystem is by far and away the best value.  Don’t believe me?  Check out this price comparison chart between Nutrisystem and Jenny Craig.  (Click on the photo to get to the price breakdown)

Nutrisystem VS Jenny Craig

Can you believe that almost $500 difference?  I don’t know about you, but $500 would go a LONG way to other things in our home!!

One of the things I continue to struggle with is my daily water intake.  Recently I read a post on {Natural} Mommie Daily Blog – 12 ways to make water less boring (& recipe)

The recipe she highlighted was something I tried.  It was pretty awesome!  Make it the night before, put it in the fridge, and do your best to drink the whole pitcher!

The Sassy Water Recipe

2 liters water (about 8 ½ cups)
1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
1 medium cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
1 medium lemon, thinly sliced
12 small spearmint leaves.

Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and let flavors blend overnight. Drink the entire pitcher by the end of each day.  Thanks {Natural} Mommie for sharing!  You can head over to her site to see more of the options.

I don’t have spearmint leaves, so I substitute a lime which adds even more vitamin C!  Another added bonus, when you dump the lemons, limes, cucumbers at the end of the day, your garbage disposal will get cleaned and fresh!

So now the part I am not looking forward to typing… I didn’t have a good week.  I ate at a Seafood Buffet when family was in town, I was craving chocolate and carbs all week long.  I was so bloated, I actually thought I was pregnant (I’M NOT).  But I am up 2.1lbs 🙁

This week’s lesson – don’t cheat, don’t cheat, and if you do, workout more.

Week 1: -3.0 lbs
Week2: +0.6lbs
Week3: -1.2lbs
Week 4: -0.8lbs
Week 5: 0.0lbs
Week 6: Bye-week
Week 7: -0.8lbs Out of the 190s!!
Week 8: -2.8lbs
Week 9: -1.0lbs
Week 10: -1.4lbs (my first Nutrisystem Bear!!)
Week 11: 0.0
Week 12: – 1.4lbs
Week 13: 0.o
Week 14: -2.6lbs
Week 15: +2.1
Total Lost : 12.3

Glad to hear the NutriSystem plan is working for you!!! I’m a true believer in the prepared diet plans. I never did NutriSystem by did Jenny and lost 40 pounds in 3 months and felt great…..walked away satisfied with the taste and never hungry. You’re not up this week—you’re still DOWN 12.3. Big picture. Don’t get discouraged. I like your sentiment to work out more….that’s what I’ve been doing. Monday-Friday….1 mile on the treadmill/1mile on the stationary bike/100 steps on the stepper. I work out at 5AM though-and look forward to the day when I get more energy to do 2/2/200!

We all have our ups and downs, Mama, you’re still on the right track! 12.3 pounds is 12.3 pounds! I know you’ll still do awesome as you continue!
