The Perfect Halloween Costume From Chasing FireFlies | @ChasenFireflies

September 23, 2012 By Emily 16 Comments

I have always loved Halloween, but ever since I became a mother the magic of Halloween seems just a little bit more real and sweet.  I love helping my son pick and his Halloween costumes.  There is just something so special about teaching them to use their imagination and that for one night they can be anything they want.  Now that my son is 3 he has become very excited and involved in choosing his costume.  His imagination is working overtime, and narrowing it down to a single costume is certainly a difficult task.

One of the reasons I love Chasing Fireflies Wishcraft halloween costume selection is that I know pretty much no matter what my son wants to be I know I’ll be able to find it!  They really have a Halloween costume for every child! (They also have Halloween costume’s for adults and pets too!)

About Chasing Fireflies Wishcraft

At Chasing Fireflies, we know the real goal of Halloween is to build a lifetime of memories for the whole family. And some of the best memories are those that celebrate the spirit of every member of the family. That’s why we offer Wishcraft, a catalog filled with unique costume ideas that are sure to make Halloween a howlin’ good time, building memories no one is going to forget.
Chasing Fireflies has some great kid’s Halloween costume ideas, everything from baby costumes to girl’s costumes, boy’s costumes, to witch, princess, fairy and super hero!

We started getting the Chasing Fireflies Halloween catalogs at the very beginning of August, and as soon as we did, but son poured over it, asking questions, and laughing at the costumes. There were so many boy’s costumes to choose from, but it became pretty clear he had narrowed his choices down to two things:

1. A Police Officer

"Chasing Fireflies" "Wishcraft" "Halloween Costumes" "Costumes for Boys" "Halloween"

2. A Dragon

While he loved both costumes, I knew he would end up picking the Police Officer.  After all, when I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, Police Car Driver was his answer!

So we picked the Jr. Police Officer Costume for $44 and added the accessories for $8.  The Jr. Police Officer costume comes with 2 pieces, a one piece uniform and a police hat.  So you have to be sure you buy the $8 accessory add on which has 7 pieces including the handcuffs, badge, ID, whistle, belt, phone, and baton.

My son is 3 years old and right between a size 5T and 4.  So we ordered the 4-6 sized costume and it has plenty of room for him to grow.  One of the best things about a Chasing Fireflies costume is that I know that after Halloween it isn’t going to be wrecked after just one use like some other brands.  My son will be able to play with this costume for dress up time for a year+ to come.  When he has out grown it, I have no doubt his little brother will be waiting in the wings to get his hands on it!

We also have a family trip planned to Disneyland just before Halloween this year.  I wanted to get a group family costume that was both fun and comfortable.  We decided to be skeletons. While I had found my shirt and my husband’s shirts for this costume, I was still looking for the perfect fit for my son.  I found it in the Chasing Fireflies glow-in-the-dark sleepy skeleton pjs.  This will be perfect for nighttime at Disneyland.  It will keep him warm, help him glow in the dark, and match Mommy and Daddy!  Plus he can wear them all winter long to keep nice and warm in the cooler months!

Come Halloween this year, everyone had better be on the look out!

Police Officer Squishy will be on duty and trust me, he takes all rules very seriously!

If you are looking for a great selection of costumes for both baby, kids, and adults, Chasing Fireflies has you covered! Plus the quality is so great they are sure to be costumes your children will love all year round!  They even have Halloween decorations to turn your house into a spooky haunt!

You can find the great selection of Halloween costumes at Chasing Fireflies online!  Be sure to also follow them on Facebook and Twitter!

I saw your update about this review on facebook and I kept wondering why “Chasing Fireflies” sounded so familiar. As I was reading your review I realized that I found a Chasing Fireflies catalog at my mother-in-law’s house. The costumes in the catalog were so beautiful! I’d never see so many adorable little girl costumes. My boys, of course, loved that they had a superhero/star wars section. 🙂
    Love Squishy’s costume!!!

Looks like high-quality costumes. We never skimp on Halloween costumes… because they go right in the dress-up bin and get heavy use all year round. The first of the Chasing Fireflies catalogs are always a fun time at our house! Thanks for the review!

That is such a cute costume! I was shocked to see how many cute Halloween costumes Chasing Fireflies does have for boys, usually costumes for boys are so hard to come by!

How perfect? My son and I were matching skeletons the year I was pregnant with my daughter so I could make a pregnant skeleton shirt. It went over well with everyone. This year we’re still deciding on what we want to be!
