Today’s BEDA Day 3 topic is: My Favorite Quote. I have many favorites. Words inspire me and pick me up when I’m down, but there is one quote in particular that I have loved for many years. Technically it’s part of a poem, but it’s the first quote in the poem that I love the most.
When I was in high school I read an Emily Dickinson poem. Something about it struck me. It’s a poem that has followed me through out my life.
In my darkest times I’ve stumbled across this quote. In my happy times I seen it in random places. Something about it is just so perfect and beautiful no matter where I am in life.
The rest of the poem is really beautiful as well. I love how Emily Dickinson describes hope as always being around, yet never demanding anything. For lack of a more eloquent way to describe it – it’s like hope is there through your whole life quietly in the background, there when you look for it, blending in when you aren’t.
For years my mother used to say whenever she say a bald eagle she would think of her mother who passed when I was young. I often think of my own mother (who thankfully is still just a phone call away) when I see cardinals. She’s been such a source of hope and inspiration for me. I think that is why this particular quote sits in my own soul…
What is your favorite quote?

My favrourite quote? Hmmm….I guess I have a few but this one sat well with me recently.
“When it comes to having friends I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies”.
My favorite quote? Hmm… well it would have to be “if you can dream it you can do it”
My favorite quote is from the poem, Footprints where the character is asking God why He deserted him. The last line is “it was then that I carried you.”
What an inspirational quote. I don’t have a favorite..I love almost every quote. They are so inspirational and help to make me a better person.
What a lovely poem!
I saw something like a couple of weeks ago, however you
did in-depth research, along with your post seems to be much more persuasive than the others.
I’m astounded by the arguments you provided as well as
the manner of your post. I like when posts are both informative and interesting, when even boring details are presented
in an interactive manner. Well, it’s certainly about your post.
