March Fitness Goals | Fitness Friday

March 2, 2012 By Emily 9 Comments

Okay, seriously, who took a month out of my calendar?

It just CAN NOT be March already!

Is it March already!?

Well, shoot!  2012 is flying by very fast, and I clearly have not been keeping up!  February started off promising, but ended with a personal feeling of lack of accomplishment.  I had made many Fitness goals – achievable goals – that didn’t happen in February.

I swear most days I feel like I am one step behind life, and my feet are kicking my own tush.

I don’t want to feel like that in March.  So once again, I am going to write some achievable goals, and really focus on accomplishing them.

March Fitness Goals:

  • Finish month 1 Couch to 5k
"Runner on Beach" "Couch to 5k" "FitFluential" "Fitness" "Fitness Goals"

  • Attend at least 3 Bikram Yoga classes

  • Work at least 1 additional Pilates/barre workout in per week

  • Complete 8 total spin classes

  • Start and Continue JCore at least 2 times per week (Although 4 is recommended) – Fellow Fitfluential Ambassador Sarah Dussault is one of the modifiers in this pretty intense workout system!

  • Snack more mindfully
"Almond Butter and Banana Oatmeal" "FitFluential" "Fitness" "Fitness Goals"

  • Breathe consciously more often

  • Be easier on myself

What are your fitness goals for the month of March?

One big one is to workout at the very LEAST – 3 times a week…and gain some more muscle on my skin & bones 😀

This is great – I need to actually write down some specific fitness goals for myself for March. Right now the one (big) one hanging over my head is to start my training runs for an upcoming 10-mile run in May. But I really should break it down into smaller, more achievable goals so I feel like I’m making progress!

Good goals – a great mix of fitness, healthy eating, mindfulness. I really like the conscious breathing idea. My new goal for March is to keep wheat out of my diet. A continued goal from January is to RUN. I fell really behind on my miles in February, so I’d like to run 50 miles this month.

I believe in you Emily! You inspire me so much, and I can’t wait to be getting myself in shape after this baby! I think I may start writing my own goal posts…

It’s crazy how fast this year is going already. That’s a great idea to set monthly goals though!

GREAT goals! My March fitness goals are:

    * Lose 5-6lbs this month (it is SO hard now that I am 15lbs away from my ultimate goal)
    * Exhibit self control during outings with the many friends who are visiting this month
    * Exhibit self control with the food at the 2 baby showers I will be attending this month
    * Space out eating/snacking better

It’s been 6 months now since they held this goal, and I can freely think that it is a long term one, to have a fitting body, a person must have proper diet and exercise. It’s not like you’ll attain that perfect body figure with just a snap of your finger. And if you are having a certain goal make sure that you have the gut and discipline in order to attain.
