It’s almost time for school to start, and while most parents are busy buy school supplies and working on their calenders it’s also the perfect time to make sure you have some Young Living essential oils in your home.
I’ve been using essential oils for a few years, but I’m so happy I have my everyday oils on hand to deal with all that a new school year is going to throw at us. Going back to school is easier, more fun, and less anxious for kids and parents when you are using essential oils!
Go Back To School With Essential Oils
Fight Germs
New school, new kids, new friends, all means new germs. Put Thieves on the bottom of your child’s feet everyday to help them fight germs at school. I also put the thieves sanitizer in my son’s lunch box in case he forgets to wash his hands before/after lunch.
Boost Immunity
Even though you are fighting germs with thieves you can also use lemon to boost immunity I add a drop of lemon to my son’s water everyday. He loves it. (Tip – Be sure it’s glass or stainless steel – oils dissolve plastic).
Get Ready For The Day
We start each morning diffusing Peppermint or Valor. Both help to focus children. Peppermint is a known brain booster! You can also rub some behind ears on days they have testing. On days we get off to a rough start we tend to pick Valor over Peppermint as it is a confidence boosting oil.
Study Time
Lemon can not only boost immunity, the citrus can help provide mental clarity and beat the afternoon slump while doing homework or studying for a test!
Beat the Stink
Why is it that something always comes home stinky? Shoes, lunch boxes, backpacks, and sports equipment can all benefit from a few drops of Purification to help neutralize odors and purify.
Relax The Night Away
My son often has a hard time relaxing after a busy day. Diffusing Peace & Calming an hour before bed helps his body relax. Applying Lavender on his feet helps him fall asleep quickly and get a good nights rest.
SIDE NOTE: I’m often asked what oil people should start with if they aren’t ready to buy the 10 everyday oils premium kit. My #1 suggestion especially for families with young kids is Lavender. Click over to find out how to use lavender oil and why it’s such a versatile oil!
There are several other oils that can also help children through school that aren’t in the 10 everyday essential oils kit. If your child is struggling in school shoot me an email and let’s find an oil to help!
If you have all these oils, but would like to add more The KidScents Oil Collection Kit is also an amazing tool for any parent to have.
They are all pre-diluted and ready to apply! My son loves the TummyGize and I love the GeneYus blend! I put it on him every day before camp or any activity that he needs to focus for! This kit is so popular it’s almost always not in stock, but if you are interested in that please email me and I will send you an email as soon as it becomes available!
My email is familyandlifeinlv(at)gmail.com. I’m so passionate about oils and how they have helped my family. If you have any questions leave a comment or feel free to reach out to me via email. I’d love to help you add these oils to your parenting toolbox of tricks and treatments!

I really want to try essential oils! Are diffusers big and bulky?
Emily says
No I don’t think so. I didn’t really like the one that came with the $150 kit so I paid the extra $10 for the sleeker looking one (Aroma diffuser). You can also get smaller ones and I recently bought the USB diffuser and it plugs right into my laptop to diffuse while I’m working!!
Scroll down on this link to see the ones that come with the kit. https://www.youngliving.com/signup/?site=US&sponsorid=1838241&enrollerid=1838241 Let me know if I can help you in any way. ๐

What essential oils would you recommend for a child with eczema?
Emily says
A blend of coconut oil, with melrose and lavender essential oils for eczema would be where I’d start. You can add Frankincense and Myrrh in there too if you want. Always start with it very will diluted, you can always add more essential oil if you need to.
